Paramedical Services

All Permanent Makeup services include a brief consultation before the procedure, facial measurements and if possible, correction of asymmetry and a unique pigment color match to suit each client. An application of topical anesthetic is provided during procedures to maximize client comfort. Appointment times may vary between artists.

POWDER BROWS

Our signature technique and most highly requested service. Powder brows (also called Ombre brows) are suitable for all skin types. They’re designed to heal as a soft powdered finish. Layers of pigment are lightly dusted into the skin to create a soft borderless finish or a more defined brow, depending on the look you would like to achieve. We can subtly enhance the shape of your brows by adding an arch or correcting asymmetry to give you the perfect frame for your face.

LASH LINE ENHANCEMENT/TOP LINER

During this procedure we will be adding color to the lash line, not only will it make your eyes pop it will also makes eyelashes appear darker and fuller. Thickness and color can be customized for each client. Perfect for all skin types - however in order to achieve the best results it is recommended stopping the use of any lash serums at least 3 months prior to procedure. Unfortunately we do not offer bottom liner at this time.

LIP BLUSH

Also referred to as Aquarelle Lips, candy lips or lip blusher, this permanent lip procedure is designed to enhance your natural lip color for that “just bitten” look. With zero harsh lines and healing them takes less than a week, it’s the perfect service for the makeup minimalist or if you just want a little something without the effort!

Notes: Refresher appointments are recommended every 3-5 years. Touch-ups are normal and expected for cosmetic tattoo procedures. It is not meant to fully replace your makeup.

For cover ups or corrections, please email info@sanctuarydurham.com prior to booking your appointment.

What is a paramedical tattoo?

The term “Paramedical” relates to services and careers that support and supplement medical work but do not require a fully qualified physician. Paramedical tattoos can be used to heal related to medical conditions such as hair loss related to Alopecia, scarring left from surgeries and skin grafts, 3D tattoos related to mastectomies or other chest surgeries.

Paramedical Tattoos offered at Sanctuary Beauty Collective include treating Acne, Stretchmarks, Alopecia, Radiation Markers, 3D Areola + Nipple Tattoos, Scar and Skin Camouflage.

 What is Areola Restoration?

Areola restoration means that pigment is implanted beneath the epidermis of the skin in the areola area with pigments that are specially formulated and mixed to match your natural areola skin tone for extremely lifelike and natural results, forever! This procedure helps our clients to recover physically and emotionally from the scars of breast cancer. Areola restoration can also be used as a service for gender affirming care.

If you have any questions or would like to book a consultation, please contact info@sanctuarydurham.com

Note: If you chose not to have nipple reconstruction, our artists can give you the illusion of a nipple with 3D nipple tattooing. If you did have nipple reconstruction, then when you're completely healed and free of any scabbing and with your doctors approval to move on to tattooing, you can schedule an appointment.

What is scar camouflage?

Paramedical tattoos help to camouflage scars, burns and other skin imperfections resulting from surgeries and injuries. Inkless scar camouflage can also be used to break up scar tissue and restore skin color for a more natural appearance while scar camouflage can help disguise scars and discolorations left behind from injuries, acne, birthmarks, non-pigmented age spots, and cosmetic surgeries including face lifts, breast lifts, top surgeries and tummy tucks.

*Pricing is based on size of the desired area. Please send photos to info@sanctuarydurham.com to pre-qualify and to discuss pricing before booking.

Will my insurance cover the cost of my areola restorative tattoo?

At Sanctuary Beauty Collective, payment is required to be made in full at the time of your appointment. However, you may qualify to be reimbursed partially or fully by your insurance company. You will need to research and contact your insurance company for further questions on reimbursement.

If you choose to pay in full we can also break up the payments and work with you on a payment plan. This applies to paramedical tattooing only. Questions about payment? Email info@sanctuarydurham.com

 Inkless Stretch Marks

What is ISR?

A method of treating stretch marks with a serum prior to or instead of pigment - which is called camouflage tattooing. After tattooing, a serum is placed on the treated area which when combined helps trigger the body’s natural healing response and when fully healed, yields a much less noticeable result!

Can this procedure work on hyper pigmented stretch marks?

In some cases, yes, however hyper pigmented stretch marks would require a patch test before proceeding. Just in case!

Can this work on all skin tones? What if I get a tan?

Since we are not color matching, getting a tan will not matter however not all cases are the same and in some rare occurrences this procedure could cause further hyperpigmentation for those with darker skin tones with excessive sun exposure.

Will this procedure work on deep stretch marks? What about wide stretch marks?

Yes! This procedure can work to revise stretch marks for any width or depth.

What is the recovery like from this procedure?

Usually, it takes almost four weeks for the affected area to heal. After that, we can determine whether or not you would require additional sessions. ISR treatment is known to generate great and fast results. You will notice almost 50-100% improvement just after the first session. Stretch marks may appear darker or red during the healing process.
